BPI Certified:  The Building Performance Institute (BPI) is the nation’s leading building science accreditation organization. The “house as a system” philosophy – which looks at a building’s various components (building envelope, attic, basement, combustion equipment, ventilation sources) and the interrelationship between them to maximize a home’s performance. This approach leads to greater energy efficiency, but perhaps more importantly to buildings that simply work better. A home that has been analyzed and upgraded from a whole-house standpoint is more durable, healthier, more comfortable, and more energy-efficient. DBE Certified: The Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) is through Community Business Development Partners.  It is a company level diversity certification for Minority or Women-Owned Businesses and Targeted Business Enterprise. Milwaukee County’s office CBOP promotes participation in procurement of projects, contracts and enforces Milwaukee County ordinances in relationship to DBE/WBE certified forms.

MBE Certified: The Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) is certified by State of Wisconsin, evaluated annually. It was created in 1983 through WI act 390 to promote participation by Minority Owned Businesses in State Agencies, campuses of University of Wisconsin System and State sponsored projects. Benefits include being listed in the state of Wisconsin Directory, firms have a broader business presence for corporate buyers beyond the borders of State of Wisconsin.

SBE Certified:  The Small Business Enterprise (SBE) is a company level diversity certification. SBE certifications are issued by the local or state government. Eligibility for certification as a Small Business Enterprise varies depending on the issuer; requirements may relate to number of employees, length of time the company has been in business and the net worth of the company’s owner.
